Recently I sold my business, a lovely little floral design studio and gift boutique. And although I loved it and what it brought to my life, I knew that I needed to move on from this stage of my life so I didn't wake up one morning and realize that my family was grown and out on their own and I missed it all. Not going to lie. It terrifies me to think that I'm a forty something year old woman and now am embarking on a new career path. But when I push past the fear, it excites me to think about the possibilities that lie ahead.
For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to teach. Something about watching others learn and make realizations nourishes my soul. To be a part of that seems like such an honour. I have decided to focus on my energies on learning to teach english as a second language. See I live in a small town in rural Manitoba. Sounds sleepy but in reality immigration is booming. The demand for English classes is high. A perfect fit. Here I can marry my love of meeting people from different cultures and learning about their native land while helping them settle into life here. I know that the road I travel to arrive at this new career will be bumpy, and I will question my ability a million times, but that's what seat belts are for!
